Give the product idea a clear starting point
A useful development brief connects the product concept with the conditions it must meet. Describe the intended consumer, product format, ingredients and route to market so Aspire can discuss the research and technical questions involved.
Product development appears within Aspire’s published research scope. The proposed work is shaped around the product and the evidence needed for the next decision.
Map the development requirements
- Product concept, target customer and desired characteristics.
- Ingredients, formulation constraints and available production process.
- Packaging, storage conditions and intended shelf life.
- Specifications, technical checks and commercial assumptions to examine.
Connect formulation with the process
Discuss the trials, process considerations and specialist input needed to evaluate the concept. A promising idea still needs a practical approach to ingredients, production and the conditions in which the product will be stored and used.
The development plan should distinguish proposed trials from conclusions already supported by evidence.
Agree what the work will deliver
Before work begins, establish the inputs, trial stages, responsibilities and outputs. Share the information you already have and the decision deadline so a relevant proposal can be developed. Any testing or external specialist work is identified within that scope.
